Alberto co-leads Adara's Energy Transition Fund, bringing extensive investment and operational experience in cybersecurity, analytics, and software. He holds an electrical engineering degree from MIT, an MBA from Harvard, and is a keen scuba diver.
Rocío co-leads Adara's Seed fund. With a background in computer engineering, she has experience in cybersecurity and investment banking, leading projects and building trading software. Rocío holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School and teaches Venture Capital at IE Business School. She is also very skilled at playing paddle and enjoys going out for hikes.
Nico co-leads Adara's Seed fund. Prior to founding Adara, he was a founder, operator, and strategy consultant. He holds an Aerospace engineering degree from Central Paris, an Aero & Astro Msc from MIT and an MBA from INSEAD. Passionate about flight, Nico competes an advanced aerobatics pilot and is part of a formation display team.
Alberto co-leads Adara's Energy Transition Fund, joining the firm in 2023. He brings extensive sector and operational experience from leadership roles at Siemens Energy and General Electric. On weekends, Alberto enjoys cheering on his three kids' basketball teams.
Ross co-leads Adara's Seed fund, partnering with founders and driving the firm’s Platform strategy. He joined Adara in 2018 after working with WPP’s M&A and Ventures team. An IE MBA alum and proud Scot, Ross is a passionate football fan and a long-suffering Partick Thistle supporter.
Jesus has been Chairman of Adara since its inception, providing strategic advice and support to the firm’s entrepreneurial growth. Beyond Adara, among many other activities, he has been instrumental in launching and managing large-scale entertainment ventures such as the 1992 Seville World’s Fair, Warner Bros. Theme Park Madrid, and most recently, Puy du Fou Spain. An avid golfer, Jesus enjoys spending time with his 5 daughters and 15 grandchildren.
Jorge focuses on investing in unique tech solutions to complex problems. Since joining in 2019, he has also taken on key roles in portfolio management, ops, and platform strategy. Before Adara, he gained early VC experience at BMW i Ventures. An engineer with a Masters in Management, Jorge is a fan of basketball and blues - from BB King to the Teskey Brothers.
Mónica is the Compliance Manager, playing a crucial role in investor onboarding and ensuring transparency across the funds and portfolio companies. An ESADE graduate with a Master’s in Corporate Finance and Law, Mónica has been an integral part of Adara's Operations Team since 2006. Outside of work, she enjoys dancing, scuba diving, and embarking on travel adventures.
Maria joined Adara's finance team in 2022. Before Adara, she worked as a finance controller for FCC in Madrid and previously for Dragados in New York. She holds a degree in Business Administration and a master's in European and International Business Administration. María enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
Alessandro joined Adara in 2022, after graduating from an MBA at Insead. Before that, he was working at Susi Partners, a Swiss-based private equity fund. Alessandro studied economics and engineering at ETH Zurich and is passionate about surfing and martial arts.
Andrea joined Adara after completing her Dual Degree in Business Administration & International Relations at IE University. Alongside her role at Adara, she serves as Community Lead at baby vc, a bootcamp for aspiring VCs. Andrea is passionate about sports, particularly skiing and horse riding, and has a love for travel.
Mariam supports Adara's Operations team, leveraging her expertise in real estate and business management. Originally from Morocco, she plays a key role in streamlining operational processes. Outside of work, Mariam enjoys reading and writing, and she’s always on the lookout for a new book or a creative project.
Alexei is an Investment Analyst at Adara, having joined after completing his BBA at IE University. Originally from Toronto, Alexei enjoys staying active, reading, and exploring the outdoors through hiking.
Cäcilia joined Adara after completing her MSc. in Finance at ESADE University in Barcelona. She has prior experience in consulting and worked at a startup while pursuing her studies. In addition to her role at Adara, Cäcilia enjoys reading, traveling, and trying out new restaurants.
Hilario joined Adara after earning his degree in Business Management in Sevilla and successfully completing the CFA Level 1 exam, having also lived in both the UK and Germany. When he's not diving into finance, he practices various sports and plays the guitar. He's a self-proclaimed frustrated flamenco guitarist who dreams of mastering the style one day.
Ignacio is a Financial Controller on the Adara Operations team. Prior to Adara, he gained valuable auditing experience in Luxembourg and recently passed the CFA Level 1 exam. A passionate sports enthusiast, he particularly enjoys snowboarding and football.
Luca Pitta is an Analyst, currently completing his studies between Bocconi University and Stockholm School of Economics. He worked as a Founder Associate at Hiop, an Italian deep tech startup, and is currently working on a project of his own called DBiased. His greatest passion is cinema.
