I was born and raised in Madrid, the second of four kids, in a family where curiosity and technology were always part of the conversation. Sports - tennis, basketball,
indoor football - gave me a competitive, team-oriented streak that's still with me. Technology was the other constant: my father was an engineer, one grandfather introduced me to computers early, and another was among Spain's first programmers, working with punch cards at the Bank of Spain.
I studied Computer Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and ENSIMAG in France, then spent nearly a decade as an engineer and product professional across
France, New York and Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, working on trading automation and cybersecurity for an investment bank, I ran into venture capital for the first time - and it clicked immediately. That took me to an MBA at Chicago Booth and, from there, into investing.
Today I'm a Partner at Adara, focused on early-stage deeptech across cybersecurity, health, infrastructure, data and AI. I'm also Academic Director of the Venture Capital programs at IE Business School. Outside work, I'm a mother of four, and our family life runs on skiing, hiking and mountains.
I see AI as the latest platform shift - changing both how fast startups can grow and what they need to grow securely. I focus on AI infrastructure, cybersecurity, regulation, and AI adoption in traditional industries, especially healthcare, where better infrastructure can still move the needle.
In founders, I look for trust, resilience and conviction: sharp intuition, deep knowledge of the problem, and the ability to keep moving when things get hard. I've watched entrepreneurship up close through my own family - my mother built and sold her medical business, my husband sold his tech company in 2023. For me, venture is a long-term relationship, which makes transparency and integrity just as important as vision.
