Opening notes
Founding Partner Nico Goulet began the day the way he has guided the firm for two decades: with clarity about what Adara exists to do. A founder, operator and engineer before he was an investor, Nico co-founded Adara on the belief that Europe's deepest technical talent deserves a specialist partner and that the pace of value creation today demands we adapt just as fast.
Inside the AI supercycle
Ross Strachan took the room through the once-in-a-generation shift redrawing every layer of the technology stack, and what it means for where early-stage value is created, and captured, in Europe. His framing: This isn't a wave to ride. It's a supercycle that rewards the firms and founders who rebuild for it.
An AI-native platform
Rocío Pillado walked through Adara's AI-native investment platform. We ask our founders to be AI-native, and we hold ourselves to the same standard across sourcing, portfolio support, and how we run the firm day to day.
Portfolio construction and paths to liquidity
Alberto Echeverri laid out the discipline behind concentration and reserves, sector balance across cybersecurity, data and AI, and infrastructure, and how each fund is engineered for resilience and outsized outcomes. Alberto Gómez then closed the firm's presentations with the question every LP cares about most: liquidity, and how Adara is actively engineering faster paths to exit as the European deep tech market matures.
Voices from the ecosystem
We then heard from the founders building the future. Albert Nieto (Seedtag) shared his full-circle journey from backed founder to Adara LP, introducing Manuel Ferreira of portfolio company Adcities and its geo-contextual intelligence for out-of-home advertising. Bob Dubois (Wodan AI) tackled keeping enterprise data and critical software secure; Keith Neilson (AppFactor) on replacing legacy systems with agile, future-ready applications; María Fátima Lucas (Zymvol) on computational enzyme discovery reshaping industrial chemistry; and our guest speaker Oscar Lance (ElevenLabs) on a future where speech becomes the most natural interface between people and machines.
