Adara
AGM
The Adara AGM has always been a meeting of conviction. Partners, founders, and the investors who back them, gathered in one room for one day, to take stock of where we are and where we're going. What follows is a record of that day. The people, the sessions, and the ideas they shared.

Adara’s next chapter

At the AGM, we offered a first glimpse of something new: the evolution of Adara.  We're not saying much yet,  the full reveal is coming soon, stay tuned! In the meantime, want to learn a little more about where we're headed? Watch the film.

Opening notes
with Nico Goulet

Nico opened the day the way he has guided the firm for two decades: with clarity about what Adara is here to do. A founder, operator, and engineer before he was an investor, Nico co-founded Adara on the belief that Europe's deepest technical talent deserves a specialist partner.
Nico GOULET, FOUNDING PARTNER AT ADARA, ON STAGE

“The speed at which you create value today has changed, and we need to learn to adapt to that.”

Inside the AI supercycle
with Ross Strachan

Ross took the room inside the AI supercycle: the once-in-a generation shift redrawing every layer of the technology stack, and what it means for where early-stage value is created, and captured, in Europe.

Play video

"This isn't a wave to ride. It's a supercycle that rewards the firms,  and founders, who rebuild for it."

Ross strachan, PARTNER AT ADARA, ON STAGE

AI Native Platform
with Rocio Pillado

Rocío walked through Adara's AI-native investment platform. Like many of the founders we back, Adara has become an AI-native organisation: we use AI across the board, from how we source to how we support our portfolio and run the firm day to day, so the whole team can operate sharper and faster.

Play video

"We ask our founders to be AI-native. We hold ourselves to the same standard, across sourcing, support, and how we run the firm."

Portfolio construction
with Alberto Echeverri

Play video

"Great portfolios aren't picked, they're constructed. Every position, reserve, and follow-on is a deliberate choice."

ALBERTO ECHEVERRI, PARTNER AT ADARA, ON STAGE
Alberto laid out how Adara constructs its portfolios: the discipline behind concentration and reserves, sector balance across cybersecurity, data and AI, and infrastructure, and how the firm engineers each fund for resilience and outsized outcomes.

Accelerating paths to liquidity with Alberto Gomez

Alberto closed the firm's presentations with the question every LP cares about most: liquidity. He set out how Adara is actively engineering faster paths to exit, and what a maturing European deep tech market means for distributions in the years ahead.

ALBERTO GOMEZ, FOUNDING PARTNER, ON STAGE

"Liquidity isn't something you wait for. It's something you build toward from the first cheque."

BETWEEN SESSIONS

Guest speakers

We then heard from the guests building the future , founders, operators, and one of our own, now on the other side of the table. Each showed, in their own field, how tech is reshaping the world around us:

  • Albert Nieto
    CO-FOUNDER, SEEDTAG

Shared his journey from founder to Adara LP, a full circle from being backed to backing the next generation. He introduced Manuel Ferreiraof Adcities, an Adara portfolio company whose board he has now joined, and discussed how Adcities is bringing geo-contextual intelligence to out-of-home advertising.

  • Bob Dubois
    CEO, WODAN AI

Tackled the hard problems of the modern enterprise: keeping data safe, and keeping the software that runs the world secure and reliable.

  • Keith Neilson
    CEO, APPFACTOR

Took us into how they are modernizing the software that runs the world, replacing outdated legacy systems with agile, future-ready applications.

  • Maria Fátima Lucas
    CEO, ZYMVOL

Took us into how computational enzyme discovery can radically transform chemistry, replacing harsh industrial processes with biology designed on a screen.

  • Oscar Lance
    GTM, ELEVENLABS

Wrapped up the day with their vision for the future of voice: a world where speech becomes the most natural interface between people and machines, in every language, for every use case.

AGM OVERVIEW

The evening reception

We closed the day together over dinner and drinks at the Club Financiero, where the conversations from the stage carried on long into the night.

Thank you to everyone who traveled to join us, shared their insights, and continues to back the Adara vision.
