I like working with founders taking on genuinely hard problems, who are honest with themselves and hold their stakeholders to the same standard. That shared accountability is what compounds into a good company that keeps improving.
Backstory
On the lookout for
I grew up in a creative household - my parents and siblings in art history, fine arts, design, cinema - while grandfathers and great-grandfathers were engineers. That mix gave me an early fluency in aesthetics and a compulsive need to know how things actually work.
Languages and travel were constant growing up: Toulouse, Boston and Ontario before high school, then engineering across Madrid, Stuttgart and Waterloo, and a Master's between Madrid, Milan and Munich. My career started at Daimler in Stuttgart, under a culture called "Best or Nothing" - an appreciation for high standards that stuck.
That pull beyond pure engineering took me to BMW i Ventures in Munich, working on generative design, autonomous driving and vehicle cybersecurity. When I moved back to Madrid, Adara was the firm I wanted: partners who were engineers themselves, sharp and substantive. I joined in 2019 as an analyst and have grown with the firm since.
I pay closest attention to the layer underneath the technology most people see - the infrastructure that lets everything above it run. Intelligence is becoming abundant, but
it can't reach most of the environments that matter yet, and that infrastructure mostly doesn't exist. That's where I look: hard markets where the expertise to build well sits with a handful of people worldwide - also where Europe can win, since these markets reward industrial depth and matter most for sovereignty and resilience: energy, health, defense, critical software.
I look for founders who pair real ambition with intellectual honesty - who take in complexity fast and make hard calls without ego getting in the way. With me, founders get a long-horizon, low-drama partner who listens first.
Outside work: basketball (the old "Grit and Grind" Memphis Grizzlies), blues in the background while I work, and as much time outdoors as I can get - since late 2025, usually with a stroller and a lot less sleep.
