Venture capitalists play a fundamentally supportive role behind the founders who drive change. To earn our place, we must act like founders ourselves - operating with the same adaptability, speed, and competitive edge that we expect from our startups.
Backstory
On the lookout for

I was born in Toronto into a family shaped by immigration - my mother the daughter of Hungarian refugees, my British/Irish father a restructuring specialist who spent decades helping turn around struggling companies. Traveling with him to job sites and hearing the stories behind his work - from businesses in distress to negotiations with banks - gave me an early education in, and fascination with, business. My own entrepreneurial education began in my teens, pitching customers at a juice stall I ran in Toronto's Kensington Market.

In search of my own story, I left Canada to study at IE University in Madrid. Following internships at a Canadian food robotics startup, an exchange at Cornell, and a stint at EY, I joined Adara as a Visiting Analyst. Despite having a comfortable path back home in Canada, I fell in love with the venture ecosystem and the Adara team, and chose to stay in Madrid to build my career in VC.

I believe venture capitalists play a fundamentally supportive role - we're one small piece of the puzzle behind the founders who actually drive change. To earn our place, we have to act like founders ourselves, operating with the same adaptability, speed, and competitive edge that we expect from our own startups.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, swimming, watching football - go Wolves! - and playing simulation games such as Civilization V and Football Manager.
