Legal should never be a back-office gatekeeper; it must be a strategic partner that anticipates challenges and enables deals. My mission is to remove friction and absorb complexity so that the legal side feels invisible, allowing our team and founders to focus on what they do best.
Backstory
On the lookout for
I grew up in Vitoria, the eldest of three siblings and one of the oldest cousins - a position that made me responsible, thorough, and a little bit of a perfectionist. My parents are doctors, my grandfather and brothers engineers; a hardworking family that gave us the freedom to choose our own paths. I left for Pamplona to study a double degree in Law and Business, and started my career at PwC in Madrid while completing a Master's at IE.
Wanting to live and work abroad, I earned an ICEX scholarship, did a Master's in International Business, and moved to Bogotá as a Trade Advisor before heading to São Paulo to build a local office from scratch. Back in Spain, I realized I wanted to work inside a company rather than a law firm, which led me into venture capital. When I met Adara, I knew immediately they were building something serious, and I wanted to help design those workflows from the ground up.
Outside the office, I'm restlessly curious - walking solo through new cities, notebook in hand, or recharging with family and nephews in the park.
My title says Head of Legal, but my real mission is making the legal side invisible. I run the legal engine behind our funds and investments, and I'm focused on removing friction so my colleagues can focus on what they do best. Legal isn't a back-office function meant to slow things down - done well, it's a strategic partner that anticipates problems and holds deals together when it matters.
In venture, trust is everything, and the best funds act as a real bridge for founders, not just capital providers. I bring rigor and structure to rooms full of fast-moving people - because ultimately, the human element is where you actually place your bet.
