We backed Hdiv because we believed application security would need to move inside the software itself, rather than relying solely on external perimeter defences. The team built one of the earliest runtime application self-protection (RASP) platforms, enabling applications to detect and block attacks in real time while giving developers unprecedented visibility into software vulnerabilities. That vision ultimately became part of Datadog's broader application security platform through its acquisition of Hdiv.
