We are hiring an Investment Associate
Adara Ventures invests in European early-stage, deep tech companies. Our core belief is that Europe produces exceptional technical founders who are building globally relevant companies. We invest in them early and help them scale internationally.
We are a tight-knit, high-performing team operating with autonomy, trust, and a strong belief in the power of systems thinking. We're now looking for an Associate to join our Investment Team.
Your Mission
We are committed to finding and supporting the next generation of enterprise tech founders as they scale from first ticket to exit. As an Associate, you will support that goal across three areas:
- Sourcing and closing new investment opportunities: You will be a key point of contact for founders and responsible for delivering the data-driven analysis we rely upon to support our investment decisions.
- Supporting our portfolio companies: Our companies face common scaling challenges. You’ll help them navigate these by leveraging our network, tools, and internal knowledge.
- Building relationships across the tech ecosystem: You will actively engage with founders, investors, accelerators, and other stakeholders as part of our commitment to long-term partnership and visibility.
What you'll be doing
- Scout and evaluate early-stage technology startups across Europe.
- Conduct deep market research, business model analysis, and financial diligence.
- Prepare and present compelling, data-driven investment memos.
- Actively support founders post-investment across strategy, talent, and go-to-market.
- Expand Adara’s visibility by participating in community events and building your own network.
- Drive internal improvements to our methodologies, tooling, and operating model.
Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of experience, which may include venture capital, consulting, investment banking, high-growth startups, or post-graduate studies (MBA and other Master’s programs are valued).
- Passion for technology, entrepreneurship, and science.
- Strong initiative, exacting quality standards, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and clear presentation skills.
- International mindset — through education, work experience, or personal background.
- Fluent in English. Spanish is highly valued.
- Exposure to or interest in the energy sector and climate tech is a plus.
