1. General Information

The following policy provides the User with general information about what cookies are use and what types of cookies exist.

What are Cookies?

Cookies and other similar devices, such as pixels, web bugs, etc. are text or image files that are installed in the user's browser when the user accesses an online service.

A) According to the entity that manages the cookies:

B) Depending on the retention period:

  1. Session Cookies: are those that collect and store data when the user accesses a service and cease once the user leaves it.
  2. Persistent Cookies: are those that have a duration determined in time by the person responsible for the service. The conservation time can vary from a few minutes to several years. They are used to save and retrieve certain parameters each time the user visits a service.

C) Depending on the purpose:

  1. Technical Cookies: are those essential and strictly necessary for the proper functioning, use of the different options or services offered by those responsible for it. For example, those used for session maintenance, response time management, performance or validation of options, use of security elements, etc.
  2. Personalization Cookies: are those that allow the user to specify or customize some features of a service. For example, define the language, regional configuration or type of browser.
  3. Analytical Cookies: these are those that allow to count the number of unique visitors and perform an analysis of the use of a service to measure the interest of this or certain areas of it. For example, through an analytical cookie would control the geographical areas from where higher percentages of users connect, which is the product or service of more acceptance, etc.
  4. Advertising Cookies: are those that allow the management of advertising space in a service.
  5. Behavioral advertising cookies: are those that allow the management of advertising space in a service. The function of these cookies is to store information on the behavior of users of a service, in order to subsequently display personalized advertising.

D) Other technologies:

  1. Pixels, web bugs or trackers: also known as tracking pixels, tracking pixel, pixel tag or conversion pixels, web beacons or web beacons. They are tiny images of 1x1 transparent pixels that are inserted into a service in order to measure activity. Once a certain page of the service is loaded in a browser, this image will be loaded and this data can be measured. Tracking pixels generally make it possible to know the route taken by a given user IP in an online service.
  2. HTML5 storage: this consists of taking advantage of the capabilities of HTML5 technology to store certain parameters in the user's browser that can be used to identify the user's browser.
  3. Local shared objects (LSO): also known as "flash cookies", it consists of storing information without cookies on the user's computer, taking advantage of Adobe Flash Player technology.
  4. Etags: this is a mechanism of the HTTP protocol that allows the validation of the cache that the user stores in his browser on a website. This technology is mainly used to save bandwidth, avoiding duplicate content downloads. However, it can also be used to recognize the user's browser.
  5. Canvas fingerprinting: this consists of generating a unique shape in the user's browser using HTML5 web standard technology to identify the user's computer.
  6. Font detection: this technique consists of identifying the font configuration of the user's computer to obtain a unique identification of the computer.
  7. Browser cache: as its name suggests, this technique consists of storing information in the browser cache.
  8. WebGL: this technique takes advantage of the 3D rendering capabilities of modern browsers to obtain a unique identification of the computer, due to the different configurations of each one.

Likewise, this information will also be treated by those companies that provide cookies with the purpose indicated in their respective privacy policies.

However, taking into account that these codes do not allow the identification of the User, the rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation or portability recognized in the data protection regulations will not be applicable, unless the User is able to provide additional information that allows linking his identity with the identification codes of his cookies.
